Slovenia: As far as I understand it these guys scare the winter away by ringing bells, harassing women, and accepting donations. As I recall they didn't do a very good job when I was there, I was freezing for a long time.

That would scare me.
ReplyDeleteI've been to the "spring" festivals in France and Belgium and could never get used to the fact that people were throwing oranges at me and others around them. Sure are some different ways to celebrate the change of seasons. But I love the photo anyway.
