After much internal and external debate I decided that it was too good to pass up. The quote of the weekend came from Ann while she was enjoying the ocean. A particularly hard wave sent her flying and when she got up she said loudly, "I got knocked up!"

Oh my sweet boy, perhaps some innocence should just never be taken away.
ReplyDeleteI guess TV and the military really does teach so many things that we really don't need to know.
Having just been on the beaches of S.C. I know of what if feels like to be wrapped up like a bean in a bean burrito in all of those cross currents and waves. Whoo. Sigh, all I did was watch all of the cute little girls and grandbabies with their sun hats on wishing that I were with MD on the beach. I'm glad you guys had a good time. Hugs, mom
Actually the previous comment contains two separate paragraphs with two distinctly different topics.
ReplyDeleteThe one was meant to say something about the sanctity of pure innocence.
And the other was talking about getting tossed around in the Carolina waves.
Explained by a very tired traveller indeed. Hugs, mom
That is so funny. I keep chuckling about it. She certainly is her mother's and her grandmother's true blood!
ReplyDeleteOh, don't worry Tina, I'm not that naive, I've just inherited my grandmother's and mother's habit of mixing up sayings. It does make for a good laugh!
ReplyDeleteAnd her sister's sister! Hehehe.
ReplyDeleteand your father in laws...Kevin is notorious for doing the same and it keeps us all rolling.
ReplyDeleteTina
forgot to tell you, there was a Harris Teeter near Folley beach. I couldn't believe it, but we ate soooo much food over the weekend that I didn't even want their great bread enough to stop on the way home.....can't wait until next week - Harris Teeter - woohoo.
