Withdrawals

Working with Slovenia again has made me ache for it, we are definitely going to live there at some point. It's in writing so its official. Now I just need to figure out how. Don't worry though, Korea is first in our list of overseas trips. I even looked at some Slovene land today. I saw a beautiful parcel for only 60 Euros. Obviously I thought it was too good to be true and it was. Ann pointed out that it was 60 per square meter. Its okay though we will get there somehow, mark these words.

Whoops

Iceland is starting over.

Happy Birthday Becky!

I really lucked out as far as a mother-in-law goes. You can tell that she has spent her life in service from how many people love her. I'm one of them. Happy Birthday.

?!

I don't know about you guys but I think this guy deserves to get in. Right now its Border Patrol-1 this guy-0 but I have a feeling he'll be back.

Mistake #1

I'll admit I don't know the details, but I think President Obama repealed the Mexico City act that made funding foreign abortion activities illegal. Therefore our tax money now could support abortion clinics and activites abroad. Like closing Guantanamo felt right this does not. I think we need more responsibility and less excuses, in fact I think that was part of his campaign pitch. Except in rare circumstances every human being should have a chance for life. I'm still excited for our country's future and I like his mentality, but bad move this time.

Comments on the playlist

If you scroll down you'll notice a very extensive playlist. I think there should be something for everybody on there. For years I was and am nervous about revealing my musical preferences. That was always embarrassing for some reason. So I've decided to come out of the musical closet so to speak. I like every single one of these songs.

The Moral High Ground

I am excited to hear that Guantanamo is coming to an end. I'm not sure of the details of what goes on there, and I think the media has really hyped it up, but I feel like it's the right thing to do. We are a step closer to regaining the moral high ground we were on after 9/11. One of the unique aspects of this war is that we are different than our enemies. They have no problems torturing us, killing women and children, or hiding behind non-combatants. It is important that we are as unlike them as possible and I think Guantanamo closing is a good start.

I'm using her to suck in more readers

Just read

I got these two books from Katie for Christmas. Dumas is famous for The Three Musketeers, Count of Monte Cristo etc, and he didn't disappoint in this one either. Sea-faring, swash-buckling adventure, love at first sight, overcoming mindless racism, and noble last stands; what more could you want?

This is one of the greatest books I've ever read. I forgot how good it is. I can't wait to get to Gettysburg.
